The
North Okanagan Trap and Skeet Club is located twelve miles North of
Vernon British Columbia, Canada. The
club was founded in 1967 and originally consisted of two trap fields and
a skeet range. A few years
past and eventually the club installed a third trap and began to hold
one-day events. As the
clubs popularity grew a further two more traps were added and the club
began to hold two-day PITA registered events.
The club faces north and has an impressive view of the Okanagan
Valley. The weather is
generally moderate, however it can get quite warm during the summer
months. In 1993 Vernon
began to hold the Labor Day shoot in September.
That shoot has now grown to one hundred and seventy competitors;
an impressive number given the club is limited to only eight traps.
All eight traps in Vernon have also been outfitted with voice
releases. In the summer of
2001 the club went under a major clubhouse expansion as it was awarded
the 50th annual BC Provincials. In
addition to the clubhouse expansion additional RV hookups were added
giving the club an ability to house 65 RV’s.
In 2002 the NOTSC will throw a quarter of all registered targets
thrown in British Columbia. We
are looking forward to a great shooting year and as Club President I
invite you to try some good old Canadian HOSPITALITY!
Sincerely,
Bruce
Davies
Club President
The
club is 10 miles north of Vernon on Hwy 97. Turn right at Leko
Precast. Follow frontage road, turn left and follow road up hill.
