The Snake River Sportsmen Club
located 3443 SW 4th Avenue in Ontario, Oregon or just north
of the airport in Ontario, Oregon in its annual registered Pacific
International Trap Association trap shoot April 8th and 9th, 2006
The PITA Shoot at Snake River
Sportsmen on April 8th and 9th is 4th
annual the Tommy Baker Memorial Shoot in memory of Tommy Baker who was
from Ontario, OR. Tommy was a member of our club, and was the Oregon
State PITA junior champ in the 70's. The Snake River Sportsmen and
Bob Baker are making an effort to get more juniors interested in
shooting trap. Therefore the club will let the juniors shoot for $1.00
event fee, they must also pay state and national fees. The prize for
the high overall is a belt buckle and belt buckles will be the prize
for the three classes of handicap (long yardage, medium yardage and
short yardage). The OSTA magnum purse and a Calcutta are available
for those shooters who are interested. These fees are $2 for the PITA
daily fee, $1 per event Oregon state fee and if they are not a member
of the PITA there will be a $9.00 PITA registration fee. If you want

Registration for the shoot
begins at 8:30 AM and shooting begins at 10.00 AM. Fees for
non-juniors are $20 per event plus $1 per event State fee and a PITA
daily fee of $2. There are 5 events, 16-yard singles, 16-yard doubles
and handicap on day one and 16-yard singles, and handicap on day
two. We plan be done by 2:30 or 3:00 on day two for those people who
travel.
Snake River Sportsmen received
Pittman Roberts grant to up grade our trap field and that work has now
been completed and two new pat trap machines have been purchased. SRS
now has all automatic trap machines with Canterbury voice release.

Sportsmen:
From Interstate 84 exit number
376 go west on Idaho Avenue (Pilot Truck Stop) to Oregon Street (first
stop light after the railroad underpass) and make a left turn, go
south on Oregon Street to SW 4th Ave. (Stop Sign). Make a
right turn on SW 4th Ave. go west (about 3 miles) on SW 4th
Ave until you get to the gun club. There is a stop light at SW 4th
Ave and HWY 201 and HWY 20 with road signs to the gun club and
airport. Just follow the signs and the gun club will be on your
right.
