"SALMON LOAF"

"SALMON
LOAF" RECIPE FROM DON YOUNG
1
16-ounce can salmon, drained. Or 1 salmon steak, 1 in cut.
2 cups of soft bread crumbs (
about 2 ½ slices)
2 tablespoons chopped green
onions
1 tablespoons of butter (
melted )
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
½ cup milk
1 slightly beaten egg
Oven 350F
Flack salmon, discarding skin
and bone.
In a bowl combine salmon, bread
crumbs, chopped onion, butter,
salt, pepper.
Mix well. Combine milk and egg.
Add to salmon mixture and mix
thoroughly.
Shape into a loaf in a greased
shallow baking pan or
into a 7 ½ x 3 ½ x 2- in loaf
pan.
Bake at 350F for 35 to 40 min.
Cheese Sauce
2 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of flour
¼ teaspoon of salt
Dash of pepper
1 ¼ cup of milk
1 ¼ cup of shredded cheddar
In a sauce pan, melt and pour
over loaf when done.
Serve. |

photo taken and included with the winning recipe. Each
winner will be awarded a "really kewl" chef's apron - just like
the one in the photo below. When you see someone wearing
one of these aprons around the camping grounds - show them
reverence for their culinary talents - they are an official "12
GAUGE GOURMET"!
