Rain Rain Rain and more Rain.   Along with Lightening and Thunder!!!!!!
Crescent City  survived  the tsunami
The only damage received by this city
was to the Harbor.  35 boats that did not
make it out of the harbor were damaged
along with the docks.  I under stand the
docks were very old and even if the boats
had left the Harbor the docks would still have suffered
One hotel along the waters edge did
get water on the bottom floor
Had the tsunami hit during high tide
there would have been a lot more damage.
Event 5 ended with a bang  and I do mean
a bang.  The last squad was on trap 4 and had only shot 4 targest each
when a  boldt of lightening was clearly seen
just to the right and over the trees.  Then the thunder
hit immediately with a really big bang that shook the club house.  The shooters  headed
for cove on the porch then the rain came down very heavily.
Bud Hoffman's 5th wheel lost its awning from the wind that blew
everything it could down the trap fields. Radio reports on Monday said that the winds were clocked at 80 to 90 mph
Even with all that the scores for that trap were
Corkey Brewer 14, Joe Varner 15
and Nadene Pope 20.  Nadene ended up with an 86 and took mid yardage.
Way to go concidering the conditions.
